I've got my eye on you Rock & Republic!!

Rock & Republic is a contemporary, edgy clothing brand mostly known for their premium denim line and signature sexy, rock star style. In recent years, R&R has expanded their selection to include accessories, footwear, eyewear, and MAKEUP. See where I'm going with this?! Their beautifully packaged luxury makeup line has gotten rave reviews across the board. I've been eyeing their GORGEOUS blushes, highlighters, and eye shadows for the last several months. However at a range in cost from $28 to $44 (they even have a Swarovski Crystal encased bronzer/highlighter duo that is priced at $225!), these babies were a bit out of my price range. But right now Rock & Republic is listing their Eye Colour (shadow) prices at 50% off! $14...hmmm still a little pricey for a person on a "no-buying strike" lol. But errrr ummm what's this I see?? A promotional code for another 50% off?!!! ( use code ROCKCOSMETICS)Yeah, ok. I'm in. Thanks accidentalbeauty.com!!

Beautifully packaged compacts with small mirror inside
3g/0.11oz compared to MAC's 1.5 g / 0.05 oz

Check out the swatches found on accidentalbeauty.com. They look AMAZING!!

I think I'll be good and only get one although I really want them ALLLLLL!! But shipping is about $9 which makes me cry. I simply hate paying for shipping. (anybody wanna share an order lol) Anyhoo, I've got my eye on Denim swatched above. It will make for a FIEEERCE dark blue smokey eye.

In the words of my sissy poo......Do you love it??!!

Hair Goals for 2011!

I've been in a major experimentation phase with my hair . Trying new products and herbs, getting a much needed trim, and practicing healthy techniques has done wonders for my strands. All of this attention I've been giving my hair has made me realize just how much I wasn't taking care of it before. It's important for transitioning and natural ladies to know that just because you are natural does not mean that your hair will automatically be healthy, strong, and damage-proof. Proper cleansing, deep conditioning, gentle detangling with the right tools, regular trims, protective styling, and constant moisture are all vital for lush happy healthy hair.

There are many things that I was neglectful of in my hair care routine that I am going to be diligent about starting NOW.

Refresh Reboot Restart!

I'm so happy to celebrate another year with my family and friends! My 92 year old granny is still in good health mentally and physically. A good friend of mine just braved his way through major heart surgery. And New Years Eve also marked my third year of marriage to my twin flame *cheeeeese* Life is good and I have no complaints! Sometimes I find myself so content with the joy that my life already brings, that I can become sort of complacent. And complacency is for the birds! The beginning of the year is a good time to do some soul searching, shed some skin, and renew your goals. In the next several weeks, I plan to post some of those goals, big and small. What better way to keep those goals fresh on my mind after those "resolution" days become regular days than to have them in writing?!

What are some of your goals for the new year?
